Ep 18: Mayor Walsh on the Release of the New Boston-based Documentary Eat Up, His Love For Broccoli, and More!

Today, Jill is joined by Mayor Marty Walsh to discuss the release of the film Eat Up, a documentary about transforming school food in Boston.  Mayor Walsh and Jill, along with others from the city, the Boston Public Schools and the Shah Family Foundation, play starring roles in this entertaining film, produced by the VII Foundation.

Jill and and Mayor Walsh look back to the beginning of their partnership and talk about some of their memories of the project, which has grown into a transformational project, called MyWay Cafe, which they hope will serve as inspiration for other cities who want to shift their food and nutrition programs to serve students whole, real, delicious menus. They also discuss education in the City of Boston, his work as Mayor of Boston, and Tom Brady’s future with the New England Patriots (!) You can learn more and watch the film on Amazon Prime and iTunes.
